Increase of 60 sen, Retailing at RM9?

I think here is something seriously wrong here. Pre-tax increase prices for 20 sticks cigarettes was RM8.20. In the latest budget the tax are to be increased resulting in RM0.60 per pack of 20s. Now a quick check at the counters selling cigarettes a pack of 20s costs RM9. Ehhh....these buggers don't know math is it?

In case they do not know how to calculate....

RM8.20 + RM0.60 = RM8.80

I wonder what are the hidden costs. Perhaps they should put notices just like the ones they display for petrol. Do a breakdown of the costs and how much percentage is given to who and for what.

Maybe it's troublesome to refund 20 cents, therefore they fixed the price to RM9 instead, and make another 20 cents profit on top of that.
